I want to search the word attribution, but it returns many result containing just attribute. That's not good.

Hi Jimm,
i've tried to find a solution on my local confluence, but i'm afraid this is a known problem that can't be solved at the moment. There are many tickets concerning this issue (search term stemming), such as https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-14134 and https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-14910. Maybe you can vote for these issues, i think a lot of people would like to have this fixed.
Best regards,
Sebastian
I'm afraid this is the default behaviour of Confluence known as Tokenization. The detail documentation about Tokenization can be found here: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Text+Tokenisation+and+Filtering.
Basically, Confluence trim -ion from the word 'attribute' and take only its root word for searching.
