G Suite username changed and now it asks for old username for access

We've updated a username in G Suite for a user and when G Suite synced, it updated the email address but not the username field. Now when that user tries to access embedded google files within Confluence, it asks for the old username credentials that no longer work with a Google log in. How should I sync over the appropriate username?

Hello Matthew

It is possible to edit the username in the Jira Administration page under User Management. This would need to be done by your Site Admin.

1) Click Users in the User Management section

2) Select the user

3) Click on Edit in the top-right corner

4) Edit the username and hit save
