I see there are a couple of Atlassian tickets open about the huge problem with exporting documents with Gliffy images from Confluence/Jira to Word. Is there any more discussion about that going on here?
Does anybody have a 'simple' work around for this that doesn't require coding image tags on every gliffy image that needs to be exported.
And what is Diagramly? Is that a replacement for Gliffy? Is it some kind of converter that allows images to be exported?
Thanks...
I reckon this can be closed now.
Bennie, you can export JIRA issues with Gliffy diagrams to PDF using the PDF View Plugin!

Hi,
There should be no problem exporting to PDF with attached Gliffy diagrams in Confluence from OnDemand. I have just tested it on our instance and it worked. If you are having trouble getting it to work, would you please open a support ticket at http://support.gliffy.com?

Hi,
We at Gliffy have been monitoring this, but do not have an answer as of yet. The limitation is with Confluence, any plugin generated image will not be exported to Word. The open bug on Atlassian's side is here:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-25599
Neither Gliffy, nor Balsamiq nor Diagramly, or even Atlassian's Office Connector plugin are able to have their images exported to Word. I would encourage you to vote for the bug above. It seems to have a low priority with Atlassian currently.
Thank you,

Thanks for the input. It's a major disappointment to the developers and management here, but, hey... whatcha gonna do...

I am told that this exporting of diagrams is not working when exporting to PDF also.
Is exporting Jira/Confluence documents to PDF with Gliffy diagrams supported? If it is supposed to work, but doesn't for us, what do I need to check to make it work with OnDemand?
Thanks.
