We built out a space of documentation for a client...and now, want to replicate that space as a "boilerplate" space in our Confluence instance (cloud). The problem is the Space key is duplicate, and the import fails because of that. I use a Mac, and I've tried editing the XML file to make the space keys unique, but since it's Mac, when I rezip, the import fails. Any ideas on what to do here (besides, editing it on something OTHER than a Mac?
Hello Michael,
Can we know what error you got when you tried uploading the xml.zip file?
There should be no issues with using the default Mac's archiver, but if that seems to be the issue, does it work if we use some other archiver utility for Mac, like the one below?
Next, can we make sure the all the steps were followed in the Solution 2 portion of the page below, and make sure we did not remove any tags or extra lines by accident.
This is the only way to copy an existing Space back to the same instance without any add-on, but if you don't mind add-ons, you can look into the one below to do this.
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Sattesh
