Have a problem to view EXCEL file that i attached to the Confluence page. Getting an error 'Cannot view PDF file' even if file extention is .xls . What i do wrong?

I need to attach EXCEL file to the Confluence page to my teammates can view it. File was attached successfully.

However, no one can access it including me.  Getting an error "We cannot load PDF"

Why PDF if it is .XLS

What I need to do?

Hi Yana,

Depending on the version of Confluence you're using, I'd suggest replacing the view file macro with the file preview macro:

How to replace old View File macros with the new File Preview macro

It is likely that this will solve the issue.

Also, could you try with different Excel files to see if the problem is unrelated to the specific file you're trying to view?
