Hi Guys,

I am trying for the below two things without any luck and was wondering if you guys can help.

  1. Hiding/restricting comments from a particular page if I am the admin(in Confluence) without a macro
  2. Somehow getting to see the number of users who have accessed the page (page hits)(in confluence) without a macro

Would be really helpful if any assistance can be provided on the above.

Just to let you guys know that html (html-xhtml) " is not enabled on purpose in the Enterprise instance of confluence in my org and I am aware about hiding comments using this macro.

Thanks,

Kuber

Hi Kuber,

For the 1st question:

This functionality is not available out-of-the-box in Confluence. We had a feature request open for this functionality, but it got closed as we concluded to not implement this feature. For your reference, this is the ticket: CONFSERVER-7742

There’s a plugin that could serve as a workaround for you, if not the HTML macro – HideElements for Confluence

For the 2nd question:

If you do not want to use a macro and are using a reverse proxy, you could use the apache logs viewer to see the hits.

There’s also a plugin available in our Marketplace that allows you to track page views, please take a look if it helps – Page view analytics for Confluence

Thank you,

Neha
