I know how to create space but I want my KB layout in a specific way and link with jira tickets.
Search bar
Main topics checkbox Articles as per checkboxes enabled
in vertical format on KB1 ---------------
left side kb 2 --------------
xyz 1
xyz 2
xyz 3
Thanks for sharing your vision for the KB — here’s how I’ve interpreted it:
You’re aiming to build a KB with the following structure:
A vertical menu on the left, organizing main topics (e.g., xyz1, xyz2, xyz3)
Dynamic article display on the right, showing content based on the selected main topic
Links to related Jira issues embedded within each article
To support this setup on Confluence Cloud, I highly recommend checking out two Marketplace apps from my company's product suite: Autopage and Spacecraft.
Autopage focuses on automating the creation of Confluence content from Jira. With Autopage, you can:
Automatically create Confluence pages from Jira issues (epics, stories, bugs, etc.)
Use structured templates to ensure consistency across documentation
Maintain live sync — updates in Jira can reflect in Confluence using smart macros
This is especially helpful if you want your documentation to be driven by Jira content, with minimal manual work — for example, if every new feature or ticket should automatically generate a corresponding KB article.
Spacecraft is purpose-built for designing user-friendly knowledge bases (for internal and external sharing). It offers:
A customizable navigation panel and intuitive search bar
A responsive, filterable layout that displays only relevant articles from more than one Confluence spaces
Theming options to create a polished UI that feels less “Confluence-y”
Hope this helps!
Hi @Angela Thomas_Seibert Group
Thank you for your valuable reply.
I just want to know one more thing, Should I need to avail any subscription ?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Autopage is free for up to 10 users. For teams larger than that or for Spacecraft usage, you would need to opt for a monthly or annual subscription based on your Atlassian billing cycle. That said, both apps offer a 30-day free trial, allowing you to explore their full capabilities. The links take you to the pricing details of each app.
If you'd like a combined demo of both apps, feel free to schedule one through this link.
