How can I exclude a certain page of a watched space?

Flo November 28, 2016

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Watch Pages, Spaces and Blogs

I want to receive notifcations about all changes of all current and future pages, attachments, blog posts of a space with exactly one page being exluded.

How do I exclude a single page from being watched without un-watching the complete space?

Many thanks.

For what it's worth, there is also a feature request here that you can vote for and watch:

Hi Tim,

Using default Confluence tools, you can't do this.  You could set up a filter in your email client to automatically delete mails about that page, although that solution may not be what you want.

You might find the free Watch Remover add-on to be useful, as it looks like it can remove a single page from the space watch.

Hi Rob,

thanks for your quick answer.

I installed the Watch Remover but unfortunately its description is misleading: While it offers "Stop watching pages according to spaces" it only allows a bulk operation per space, e.g. remove many (all) watches of particular pages within a certain space. So if you watch five pages in a space, you can remove these five watches with one click.

If you watch a complete space, it claims you are watching only a single page of that space (the home page) and no exclusion of a particular page is possible.

Thanks again,
Tim

Hi Tim,

That's a pity.  There is Notifications, which looks like it definitely will do this (and Adaptavist have a very good reputation) but it's a paid for add-on.  It looks like Watch Remover was the only free add-on that claimed to be able to do what you need.  Here are all of the "watch" add-ons for you to take a look at if that helps.  Hopefully you can find something that works at a price you're willing to pay smile
