How can I "reuse" a link

We want to link to a page that contains the working version of a document. This link will be used on several pages throughout the Confluence site. Meanwhile, we will work on the next version of the document and when it's ready and approved, we want the links to point to the new version. This mechanism is useful when a links in many spaces must point to the approved version at any given time. 

What are the options to achieve this effect?

Hi @Tore Garder Larsen,

As far as I'm aware this might be a bit hard to achieve this with standard Confluence utilities. The only way I can think of would be to utilize the "Page Include" macro. You could have your pages point to a "container page" which only has a "Page Include" macro inside it. You could have the "Page Include" macro point to a page with actual content, and once the new page is ready, you could change it to point to your new page instead.

I can also suggest to your our free app Link Management for Confluence. It allows you to scan a whole space for links and update all occurrences of a link with one click. In your case you could use it to update your links once the new page is ready without going through all of your pages one by one.
