How can I see the Rank field in the Cards on the Planning Board?

One of my users wants to see the actual Rank value in the card view on the Planning Board. In JIRA, I added "Rank" to the View screen and the value is displayed but it does not seem to be in the list of fields in the Card View Configuration?
