We still heavily depend on email to get information around our company and to outside collaborators. I really need a way (ideally one click) to send an email, including any attachments with that email, to a page in Confluence. This would make organizing and finding key information infinitely easier for my team.
We are using the cloud version of Confluence, and I can't seem to find any add in which performs this function specifically for the cloud instance. Is there any work around I can use for now besides cutting and pasting the mail into a page?
Hi Daniel, Unfortunately, there is not an add on available that has any of the functionality you are looking for in the OnDemand platform, and mail archiving is a restricted function in onDemand (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Restricted+Functions+in+Atlassian+OnDemand).
Currently, the only options available would be to copy and paste email content in toConfluence pages, or use the rest API to create pages with your email content - see https://developer.atlassian.com/display/CONFDEV/Confluence+REST+API
Another option would be to switch over to the Confluence stand alone/self hosted solution, where you could use the SendEMailTo Page plugin (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/biz.artemissoftware.plugins.confluence.send-email-to-page). It may also be worth reaching out to the developer to see if they have any plans on bringing this to the OnDemand platform - https://artemis.atlassian.net/wiki/display/EMPLG/Send%20EMail%20To%20Page%20Plugin%20Documentation. Cheers, Gary
