How do I Put in an Inline Link to a Page Heading on Confluence Cloud?

Hello,

How do I add an inline link to a heading on a page? This is what I do:

I copy a heading  that I want to link to by hovering over it.

I go in to edit mode.

I select the text where I want to add the link.

I then paste the link.

I click Publish.

The link is generated but when I click on the link, I am promptly returned to the original location rather than the destination.

What step do I need to do in order to get the destination location?

No links can be inserted in a page heading.
