How to change the standard template ("Create"-Button)?

How can I change the blank page template which is used for the "Create" button? I do want my users to use a custom template rather than the blank page template as standard ...

Hi Julian,

apart from disabling/removing the Create button using javascript, I'm not aware (but also very interested in a solution) of any way to change the behaviour of the Create button. There is an open request dealing with that CONFSERVER-44327 "Disable "Quick Create" Button Feature / Change "Create" Button Behavior"

So watch and vote that issue at least and hopefully something happens in the near future. Or if you come across a solution, let us know here please :)
