I feel like I must be missing something?
A co-worker makes comments on your page. You go to resolve them. But as soon as you hit 'Edit', the comments are no longer visible?
Is the best workaround to resolve them all, then open another tab: one for editing and one for reading resolved comments and editing accordingly? That cannot possibly be the most elegant solution.
TLDR: How do I edit while *retaining* the comments text as visible?
Following - I'd love it if there was a solution to this, but I don't think there is.
I usually just have both the published page and the editor open in separate screens as you described in the workaround...
Hi Gordon,
there is no native solution for this right now. This is why we developed our app
„Show Inline Comments in Editor“.
Please check it out and let us know if there is anything you would like to see improved.
Thank you!

Andreas--
As much as I appreciate your jaunty offer to sell me something, Confluence simply decides to leave out VAST HUGE swaths of functionality and then tries to offset this huge embarrassing gap of negligence by encouraging mercantile plugin makers.
As a software maker, Atlassian needs to know this cavalier approach is not sustainable or forgivable. Would you buy your car if it only had four wheels and a chassis, and you had to buy everything else from plugin makers?
ATLASSIAN I HOPE YOU ARE LISTENING

Gordon,
thanks for answering.
I think we can agree that a native solution would be ideal. But since this is not the case, we are doing our best to offer a solution for users who need this functionality. It is of course your choice if you want to jump on it or not.
Best,
Andreas
