How do I fix the People Directory?

The People Directory is not up to date. Users who have been added are not included in the People Directory and updated Avatars are not current. Is there a way to manually update it?

Hi, I believe that by the time you commented here, there was a problem with People Directory in Confluence, which I believe by now it's already fixed. Please let us know if you are still facing any problems with it. If so, please raise a support ticket at support.atlassian.com so that we can further investigate what could be happening. Thanks.

Also--I cannot tag people that DO have accounts but are not represented in the People Directory.
