How do I hide JIRA service desk users from Confluence?

I've setup the "server" version of JIRA and Confluence and configured Confluence to use the JIRA user directory. We are also using JIRA service desk.

Now, as a result, every single service desk user shows up in autocomplete situations in confluence (e.g. when I'm mentioning a user, I see service desk users mixed in with real internal JIRA users).

Is there any way to use the JIRA directory with Confluence without introducing all of the service desk users?

Did you find any solution to this?, we have the same problem, but using JIRA cloud + JIRA service desk in the cloud.
