I used to use the Word macro, which is being deprecated. How do I insert a OneDrive smart link on a wiki page?
Hi @julia_h_leon ,
It's quite simple. Just copy link from your Word doc in OneDrive and paste that link into the Confluence page. Once that's done, simply change the view to "Embed" and that's it.
Note that, initially, you'll have to authenticate/authorize your Microsoft and Atlassian accounts to view the content (but that's only for the first time).
Also, all permissions set on the Microsoft side will be respected, so only users who can view the Word doc will also be able to view it in Confluence.
Quite an improvement compared to having a file directly in Confluence (and in OneDrive/SharePoint), as you now have a single source of truth where you can just update the content and it's immediately visible in Confluence as well.
Cheers,
Tobi

Hi @julia
Welcome to Atlassian community!
To insert a OneDrive Smart Link in Confluence Cloud, copy the OneDrive file or folder link and paste it directly into the Confluence editor. The link will automatically convert to a Smart Link, offering different display options within the page. You can also use the OneDrive File macro by inserting it using the slash command (/OneDrive & SharePoint) or through the "Insert" menu.
You can refer to https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-links-and-anchors/ for more information on embedding smart links on your page.
Hope this helps!
