Hello everyone,
I am currently wondering how I can number and label tables and figures in Confluence. I am trying to work with CSS code in the editing mode. While numbering works for tables, it does not work for figures. Additionally, I cannot add labels to either figures or tables. This works for headings with the appropriate CSS code, though. Why doesn't it work for figures and tables? Is it only possible manually at the moment?
You can try using numbered headings or footnotes for that. Both features are available in Mosaic (developed by my team)

Great question. There is not a great way to add numbering and labels to figures and tables in Confluence. I have seen the most success when individuals use a header that they associate to the table or figure. There is an app that does this that you might want to take a look at in the marketplace - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211217/numbered-captions?tab=overview&hosting=cloud
