Hi,
I have draft pages in Confluence and I don't want them to appear in the search results. How do I make sure that the draft page is not included in the search? Is there a 'Do not include in search' option available while in draft mode?
I would like the search to yield results only from published pages and not throw up results from the draft pages.
Thanks,
Kishore
Hi @Kishore Umashankar Gurukar and welcome to the Community!
Unpublished pages (drafts) won't show up through Confluence search. For more details about Confluence search results, please see: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/search-for-pages-and-posts/
Users can only find and access Drafts that they create under the quick navigation option, e.g. from the "Recent" tab or under the space tree where they created it.
Cheers,
Linh
Good day @Kishore Umashankar Gurukar! Welcome to the community as well.
Adding to Miss Linh's message, pages with restrictions on "who can see it" will not appear in the search results for users without the given permission, and this works for its children's pages, "hereditary permissions."
This could be a workaround if you have lots of pages and don't want to overcrowd other users.
Best
Rodrigo
