Every time I'm editing a page and the cursor is near a date or I start typing something that looks like a date, Confluence pops up an automatic date widget suggestion which gets accepted when I press enter.
This is super annoying. How do I turn this off?
Further, how can I turn off all automatic popups like this?
I don't have a problem with the popup when I highlight text, just when I get popups clicking and typing.
Hi @Jeremy
Welcome! Unfortunately.....No but you can hit the "esc" button on your keyboard to have it go away.
There was an Atlassian ticket raise for the same concern:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-59816
That's super annoying.
As a developer myself, I couldn't imagine implementing a feature like that without also building a setting to turn it off.
But thanks for your quick reply.

Hi @Jeremy
Another workaround solution you might consider is quickly typing // followed by Enter to activate the data macro. From that point, you can proceed to input your date.
I find this method particularly helpful when I want to enter the current date, as it only requires me to type double slashes (//) and then press Enter twice.
Cheers
