How do we enable upvoting and down voting?

We are working to get our Questions for Confluence up and running and are not able to enable the up and down voting functionality.  We get an error "Unauthorized Action.  Ask your admin to grant you permission"  - where are the controls to provide permission?

Hello Jill,

Hope you're doing well. Welcome to the Atlassian Community! :)

Generally, this message appears when the add-on set up permissions on the Space is not allowing it to add the votes/downvotes in the questions on a given space.

If you are a Space Administrator, you should be able to access the Space Settings of the space, located on the left sidebar.

Once you are on the Space Settings, you can click on the tab called Permissions and then on the tab Add-on:

For voting and downvoting to work, Questions for Confluence needs at least View and  Add permissions, but you can grant the add-on the Delete permissions as well:




In case you are not a Space Administration, you can talk to your site Admin to know who is the Space Admin, or the site-admin itself can check the space and add-on permissions to try changing it there.
