At the moment we're trying to launch Confluence at our company. Now the question came up, if it is possible to use our existing Outlook calenders with Confluence.
How do the other customers solve this issue? Do we have to create new calenders in Confluence, while keeping the old ones in Outlook? Is there any way to synchronise them, to save us the trouble of adding everything twice (to both the calenders)?
Best regards,
Lucas Schlemm
Hello Lucas,
We have the following document on subscribing to external calendars from Team Calendars.
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/TEAMCAL/Subscribing+to+Other+Calendars+From+Confluence
This would have to mean that your Outlook calendar would have to be published to a public facing ical format calendar. Also, the subscription is unidirectional. You will not be able to make changes in an outlook calendar you are subscribed to from the Team Calendar interface. It will just act like you are subscribed to a calendar that you do not have edit permissions to. You will have to add things to both calendars separately
did you see

point 5 says
"Integration with your favorite email and calendar clients – Outlook, Google, and iCal – let you keep up-to-date no matter where you are."

I've seen this homepage, but it actually doesn't work that way (as far as i've experienced).
I'd like to add an event to my calender in Outlook and want it to appear in conlfuence and vice versa.
