How to add a date picker in Confluence Cloud

In Confluence Cloud I am trying to set up a page template that includes the Page Properties Macro, and I would like to include a Date Picker in one of the fields.  How do I do that?  Also, is there a way to just add a date picker into a page outside of the macro?

There isn't a way to add a date picker into your template as such, but you could use instructional text in your template to prompt the user to type //   which triggers Confluence's own date picker, and inserts the date as a lozenge (which is useful for avoiding 1/11 and 11/1 date format differences)
