I have installed the viadee plugin BPMN-Moderler. I try to add an existing bpmn-file to a page, but confluence prompts that either I have no rights to upload content or the file isn't a proper bpmn-file.
I have uploaded a png file before, and it worked out properly - the diagram is shown in the confluence page. But this is only a picture, I want to use the bpmn diagram.
The file I uploaded was created via camunda modeler and the bpmn syntax is correct.
How can I add the file correctly, which configuration do I need to setup in order to be able to upload bpmn files?
Thanks for help - a confluence newbie
Hello Rainer,
I am part of the viadee team behind the BPMN Modeler for Confluence:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1219284/bpmn-modeler-enterprise?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
First of all, @Tomislav Tobijas is absolutely correct (thank you!). We are always there for all of our (future) users in our Support Desk.
Usually we are quite fast with an answer and see all requests through until they are thouroughly resolved - our Marketplace reviews tell the same story. ;)
Now about your question. If you have an existing .bpmn file, you can add our app to a Confluence page by using the "+" button in the top navigation bar or by typing "\" on the page. Then search for our app by typing "BPMN".
Once you have added our macro to the page, a dialog should open, which allows you to upload a file stored locally on your PC.
I hope this helps?
You can find a lot of additional information in our manual or just contact us via our Support Desk.
Best,
Paul
Hi @Rainer ,
I've never used this app so I cannot say much, but I would like to point out official vendor support, which you can find under each Marketplace app listing.
In BPMN case, you should be able to find vendor contact information here. (incl. service desk link and support email address)
From experience, vendors are usually quite helpful when it comes to troubleshooting and/or general app questions.
Cheers,
Tobi
