We have ldap configured in confluence and getting all the user details in the application, however we are not seeing department details in user profile page. We don't see ldap attribute in user schema setting.

Department is not a standard attribute, that can be configured in "out-of-the-box" Jira.
For showing it you can use additional addons, like User Profiles

There you can configure different attributes, which can be taken from LDAP
