We are moving our KDB (pdf documentation/word documentation) from SharePoint to Confluence. An idea was to have all documents in same format within a template. Document Owners would be obligated to move them from SharePoint to Confluence.
A template has been created and it has it's structure - but when we got it tested document Owners would copy paste text to the Confluence template and therefore they would copy it together with formatting.
I want the user to create a document based on a template, but ONLY allow the user to change field data within the template, without altering the field titles and formatting.
Template is more a guideline than real form. If you use variables (single line, multi line text or select list) in your template though they will have to only fill in the variable before accessing the page edition.
You could instructed them to click publish when they have fill in the variables.
In any case, the best is to have a moderator to review all content to make sure it is always consistent.
Best regards,
Mike
