Hi,
Does anyone has an idea how to change/customise filename format that is generated Confleuce PDF export?
For instance, when user exports page to PDF file from Confluence V5.x, Confleunce will create PDF file "Page-key"-"Page ID"-"number".pdf. So I want to chage this format such like a "Page Title"-"date".pdf.
Thank you in advance,
G2G Japan
As I described, we found "Scroll PRF Exporter" in Marketplace https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.k15t.scroll.scroll-pdf. With this plugin, I can customise filename.
Thank you.
Metadata please!
Why not let us determine exactly what parameters are used to generate filenames, not pick from a limited set of four pre-defined parameters.
Although Scroll PDF Exporter provides an additional alternative page title, I don't want to rename my pages, just the exported PDF to a filename that we determine from combinations of our product names and SW/HW versions, document numbers, etc.
By allowing filenames to be defined using standard Confluence metadata, you could do this.

Hi @Steve Meiers,
Please allow me to quickly jump in here, as I'm with K15t Software, the makers of Scroll PDF Exporter.
We have an open improvement in our backlog to allow users to set file names: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/EXP-340
Although we haven't yet planned to work on this feature in the upcoming sprints, it would be great to better understand your requirements.
Please feel free to sign up and comment which specific Confluence metadata you would like to use in the file-name (e.g. Space name, parent page, ...).
You'll then also get a notification for any changes on the improvement.
Best,
Nils

Hello there, a while ago there was a request for improving the information listed in PDF Export filename, it can be reviewed here. Performing an export from a local instance version 5.4.4, I managed to see the page name in the following format admin-Decision-310714-0854-5 - which account for username - Page Title-Date-Time.
If you are seeing page key, there is a chance that the title is listed as a number, which happens when special characters are present in a page title. As for the remaining information, there should be a version peculiarity, in which Confluence version are you performing the export task?

Guilheme,
Thank you for your response.
Our customer uses Confluence 5.4.3. For instance, when we export "What is Confleunce?" page from "Demonstration Space", we get pdf file named "ds-98312-010814-1019-2.pdf" which consists
- SpaceKey "ds"
- pageId "98312"
and date information.
Our customer wants to customize this as more meaningful name such like a "What is Confluence?-010814.pdf".
I find using "Scroll PDF Exporter", we can this.
Regards,
