How to configure screens based on Issue type?

Hi support,

How to configure screens based on Issue type. Please let me know.

Scenario:

We have following issue type:

• Issue Type1

• Issue Type2

When user select issue type at the time of create issue. Based on issue type selection below screens should come for create issue.

When select Issue type1

Issue type 1 Create screen (Issue create)

Issue type 1 Default Screen(View screen)

Issue type 1 Edit Screen(Edit Screen)

When select Issue type2

Issue type2 Create screen (Issue create)

Issue type2 Default Screen(View screen)

Issue type2 Edit Screen(Edit Screen)

Screen fields are different at different for issue type. Please let me know how to achieve this.

I have created 2 Issue type screen. But how to map under project->screens. It is allowing only one issue type screen?

Also Fields based on issue type? How to achieve these two. Please help.

As Renjith said, you need issue type screen schemes. Not just issue type screens.

There are three layers:

1. a screen tells Jira what you want to see when a user hits that screen
2. a screen scheme tells Jira what screens to use for edit, create and view
3. an issue type screen scheme tells Jira what screen schemes you wish to use for each issue type

Once you've built them up, you then tell the project which issue type screen scheme to use.
