How to create a shared persona repository

Jerry Ward June 21, 2018

If a company with several scrum teams wants to create a shared pool of personas in confluence, what would be the best way to store them?  Not every team would need all the personas, but there would almost always be at least some crossover and working from a common persona pool will make cross-team conversations better.

I would suggest to define a template or blueprint for personas. Based on this template/blueprint, each persona would be described on a single page in a space every team has access to.

Using transclusion -- either with the excerpt macro or the include page macro or by a third-party product (see multi-excerpt on the Atlassian Marketplace) teams are able to render this information on their spaces. This would allow them to

  • select the personas they need for their work,
  • add additional personas that are only (currently) relevant for their work, and
  • add information to these personas that are specific to their point of view (and maybe find its way to the commonly used personas later).

Probably not the best answer, but you could have a Confluence page to host/display them?
