How to determine single place for creating an announcement?

Trying to determine if is possible to create a single announcement that can reach the user community without having to create multiple different items such as announcements, blog, calendar, etc.

Hi Gerard, welcome to the Community!

I'd suggest creating a blog and sharing it with an email distribution list (like "staff@yourcompany.com") for items you'd like everyone to be aware of.

There's also the possibility of using a banner (I'd suggest linking to a blog post in the banner message if it's more than a sentence or two, or if there's further information available for people interested in the announcement. You can do that in Confluence Server by:

• Adding a site-wide banner with custom HTML in out-of-the-box Confluence
• Using the free Announcement Banner for Confluence app which simplifies adding/removing a banner, and lets you easily configure a start/end date for its display
