Hello Community,
I am currently struggling with an request to compose a summary page for the management which displays certain information from child pages. The child pages consist of tables and text boxes and only certain content in the cells should be displayed on the parent page. The "excerpt" feature is not working because I have multiple information on the child pages for the parent page. Also, the parent page will have an increasing number of child pages in the future. Therefore, the display option should be flexible and expandable.
I would highly appreciate if some of you have an idea or tip how to solve it.
Thanks a lot,
Andela
Hello @Andela
I'd do this with Page Properties Macros on the child pages and the Page Properties Report Macro on the parent page.
I understand that the information you want to display is placed all over the child pages so you might have to restructure these pages as you need all the displayed data in a table wrapped with the macro. Once you've done this, you need to put a certain label on the child pages.
I'd also recommend a page template with the structure (table, macro, label) for the forthcoming pages.
Hope that helps.
Best regards,
Nicolai
Hello @Nicolai Sibler, Thanks for your fast response.
Is my understanding correct, that the child page would consist of one table and all content will be displayed?
Additional information on the child page is not possible?
Best regards,
Andela

Hello Andela,
additional information is possible.
What I was trying to say is that all the data to be displayed on the parent page has to be in cells of at least one table wrapped with the macro. You can't specify parts of a text block as with the Excerpt Macro.
Also, you may specify parts of the Table to appear in the Page Properties Report.

Nicolai
