Is it possible to insert footnotes in confluence latex?
Confluence's standard editor does not have built-in support for footnotes.
Explore using third-party apps / macros.
One popular solution is the "Footnotes for Confluence" app, which enables you to insert footnotes using a macro.
By placing a footnote marker in your text and adding a "Footnotes Display" macro, you can display all footnotes at the bottom of the page or in a specific section, providing readers with easy access to additional information.

Thank you @Humashankar VJ for mentioning Footnotes for Confluence app, @Baris Can Cetin, here is the link to its marketplace page https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1224015
What app do you use for LaTeX? As an alternative solution, you might consider using an app like Mosaic (created by my team). It includes LaTeX and Footnotes macros together with a list of other key content formatting features, e.g., Tabs, Numbered Headings, Banners, Templates, etc.

Hello @Baris Can Cetin
Thanks for sharing your question here!
Actually it depends on the way you're rendering your latex content. But as @Humashankar VJ Confluence by default (either in DC or Cloud) does not support footnote management.
It can be done via anchors and internal page links if you have very few note to link to but it can become a nightmare to manage if multiple ones are defined in page. Additionally you do not have the formatting options!
In that case, you should opt for a third party App! I advice to have a look at our App https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212124/content-formatting-toolkit-for-confluence It contains a specific Footnote macros to list all your footnotes with advanced look and feel configuration. (Below an example on how it looks on Confluence pages)
Again it depends on your Latex formatting solution! I will be pleased to help in any case.
Thanks
