Hi,
Do you have any idea why are some of the hyperlink turned to grey and its not pointing to anywhere? the link initially move from another confluence by copying the wikimarkup and insert to new confluence. its actually an attachment link, attachment was downloaded and attached back to the page but the link remained in grey color and if i edit page and take the cursor to the link , the selection of “unlink” does not appear at all. So, I can’t remove the link in any other way as to delete and rewrite the text.
Please advice.
br,
Michelle
Hello Michelle,
Just attempting ot clarify a bit here.
1) You had link to an attachment inside a header on your old Confluence instance
2) You migrated your wiki from a previous version of Confluence.
3) The migration removed the link from the header
4) Reuploading the attachment to page does not correct this issue
Have you attempted removing the heading itself and recreating the link? You should just be able to remake the heading, highlight hte text and click on the link dialog at the top of the page. From there you should be able to navigate to the attachments on the page and select the correct one.
Please let me know if I am misunderstanding the situation.
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your reply. Let me clarify abit.
I migrate the page from older version confluence to new one by copy and paste the wikimarkup code to the new confluence. the link suppose to have an attachment attached to it, but the latest decision is to make the wording to a normal text. so we need to unlink it. But when we are in the edit mode, the function unlink does not appeared.
below is the screenshot of the broken link and it's appeared in grey and is not pointing to anywhere.
thanks.

Meech,
Ah I see. You may want to give the source editor plugin a try. It should allow you edit the raw HTML on a page and manually remove the link surroundinghte heading.
Once you have installed this plugin edit your page. Clicking on the "< >" button in the upper right hand corner will bring up the source editor. From there you can strip the anchor tag surrounding the heading. This should unlink the attachment.

Hi Daniel,
Thanks. Another way to remove the link is to rewrite the text. We are just curious and wonder why is the unlink or edit link option does not appeared? if this is a bug or if this is a known issue.

Hello Meech,
What version of Confluence are you coming from and going to? I can mock up an upgrade in my test systems and see if I can replicate this behavior. I know of an issue that can break headings that are wrapped in macros. Are you using a macro to create the link on the headings or just the norrmal link syntax?

Hello,

i tried to reproduce the issue again and realised that it happened to attachment link only.. :)
