How to remove "search box" in left sidebar above the Pagetree?

In order to lessen confusion for our users, we would like to remove the search box on top of the pagetree in the sidebar - this without having to use ThemeBuilder - has anybody got some expertise in this on the most recent Confluence release?

Hi,

try to add the following CSS to the stylesheet (space admin > stylesheets):

#pagetreesearch {  
 display: none; !important  
}

Does that work for you?
