How to set a "home space"

Sabrina Leitner (IN) June 2, 2020

Hi,

when following a invite link of your company and logging in for the very first time, Confluence asks you to choose a space to start with ("home space"? - idk what the exact wording is. I don't mean setting a homepage!).

How can I change this space after the initial log in? (e.g. if I chose the "wrong" one in the beginning)

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Sabrina Leitner (IN)

As far as I know, the only impact of this "home space" is, that the whole space will be watched and set as a favourite.

So I think, you can just unstar the selected space and unwatch the space and vice versa for the other space.

Let us know if this worked for you.

Thank you, Dominic!
I wasn't sure what the impact of setting a "home space" was. But if you're right, then this could be the solution :)

Hi @Sabrina Leitner (IN) ,

I think you need to point Confluence on which space you belong. For this, go to the "Spaces" tab and selected the one that you're related to.

If this doesn't work, you should better contact your Confluence/Jira administrator to point you in the right direction.

I hope this helped you,

Ionut
