How to use Menubar macro

Hi I would like to know how to use the Menubar macro.

Is it possible to create a menu that will open links on the same page without reloading the whole page?

Is it possible to feed an included excerpt from other excerpts using the menu bar macro to select them?

Side question: Can I pass a variable from one page to another?
