I can't add images to a documentation I'm creating

When I try to add images in Confluence, either by copying a saved file or taking a screenshot and pasting it into the documentation, the image doesn't appear. If I try with /image, it doesn't work either.
I read something about a permission called Add attachments, but neither I nor my manager know how to enable this permission. Can anyone help me?

To change Default permissions (which will only apply to any NEW Spaces created after you do this) you can go to this url:
https://[SITE].atlassian.net/wiki/admin/permissions/space-permissions/defaults

-- Replace [SITE] with whatever your site name is.

Then click Edit and there is a section for Attachments there:

Make sure you click SAVE when you're done.

You can go to the Space Settings for an existing Space and do the same there.

You might need to add users or Groups to the permissions as well. I'd check out Atlassian's documentation on Site permissions for more info: https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/resources/guides/get-started/manage-permissions#manage-global-permissions

@Gabriel Schmitt have you tried simply dragging the image into the page you are editing?

The copy/paste would rarely work for images. If you have a personal Confluence space, you can try adding images to at least check whether it's a permission issue.

@Zachary Howard already helped with that.
