I cannot display an uploaded file as a link in Confluence Cloud. The behavior as explained in section "Display images and files" in https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/display-files-and-images-724765104.html (extract attached as picture) is not working. I am using Chrome as browser.
Hello Guido,
Welcome to Atlassian Community. It's nice to meet you.
The issue you are encountering is specifically with the new editing experience in Confluence Cloud. There has been a bug reported for this behavior:
Please vote on the bug above by selecting This affects my team. You will then be added to the list of watchers and be automatically updated of any changes.
Thank you for your help in getting some attention to this issue.

Thanks Shannon, just voted the JIRA issue and added myself as watcher.
While I understand this is not the sole issue you must be driving your attention to, imho this is more than a "low" priority issue, as displaying attachments in wiki pages as links instead of thumbnails adds a lot in terms if page navigation and space.
Best, Guido

Hello Guido,
The development team usually will determine the priority of a request and then will change it from the low priority which was set initially. The priority can be determined from a number of ways, such as if there's a workaround for it, how many users this affects, etc.
If you're watching the bug then you will receive an update each step of the way, during prioritization, when there's progress being made, and when it has been resolved.
I hope that clarifies things! Let me know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Shannon

I'll add my frustration to this one.
With the new Editor, the thumbnail is unusable in many cases. Example: I want to upload around 15 example files with an accompanying few words of description. The thumbnail approach takes up too much space, is ugly and really not that usable.
To workaround this, I've actually placed the files on a Google Drive and embedded the link to that location on the Confluence page. Not good.
I upvoted the bug.
