This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Keyboard shortcuts

Hi Molly,

You uncheck the box in the General tab, and you still can use the Keyboard Shortcuts (you can't disable the *Editor* shortcuts though), that is indeed strange and might need raise a support ticket to have a Support Engineer looking into it.

In the meantime, a workaround would be to disable the Keyboard Shortcut Plugin or each shortcut from the plugin.

*Note: This will disable for all users.*

  1.     Click on cog icon > General Configuration.
  2.     Select Manage add-ons.
  3.     Click to show 'all add-ons'.
  4.     Search for the 'Confluence Keyboard Shortcuts Plugin' and expand it.
  5.     Click on 'Manage plugin modules' to see the individual modules.

Each shortcut will have it's own module that can be disabled. The one you want is called 'Toggle Navigation Panel'.

Cheers,

ENunes
