I have downloaded confluence mobile and it does not recognise my login/password

I have downloaded confluence mobile and it does not recognise my login/password. I have logged into Confluence on my desktop to ensure i have the correct login/password and that works.

I think I have found that the issue related to cookies.

Do you have the right app installed? There is one for server/data center and one for cloud.

If you are in the cloud (if you access confluence with something like xyz.atlassian.net) that should be right.
