I want to delete my confluence site

I logged into confluence using my organisation email address and instead of signing me into my org it created a whole new confluence site for me.

I am trying to delete this new site.

On the Admin > Settings page, under "Delete organisation" it says:

"Before you can delete the organisation, you’ll need to:

• Remove all products included in your active subscriptions."

I have already removed the only app there (it's greyed out in "Billing") and it still won't let me delete the organisation.

Trying to contact Atlassian for help seems impossible.

Welcome to Atlassian community!

I understand that even after the subscriptions are ended, you are unable to delete the site.

Usually the products will be active for 14 days post cancelling the subscription and until then the site deletion is not possible.

For immediate deletion, please raise a request with our billing team here https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing#/ who will assist you with instant deletion of the site.

This is a common problem users face.  Atlassian made it difficult to cancel your site.  Often the reason is that there was an app on trial in the site.  The app can't be uninstalled until the trial ends (this is a choice Atlassian made, not the app).  And as long as the app is installed, you can't cancel your site.

As an Atlassian administrator, my favorite part is scrolling through the 20+ sites & products I've already submitted for deletion (all created unintentionally by Atlassian web teams sketchy/grabbing hands redirects) on Atlassian's Contact Support page, so I can submit another site deletion that'll hang out on the same select list with all the others for 60 days.

Even to submit a non-Atlassian-Shadow-IT-delete-site-ticket (pretty rare these days with all the useless sites floating around for deletion!), but still, so much happy emoji fuzzies while scrolling through more unnecessary garbage to find & submit a simple support ticket for one of the two legitimate sites we're subscribed to.
