If new users are added to an existing space, can they view previous blog posts?

When adding new users to a space, are they able to view blogs that were posted prior to their addition? We do not want new users to be able to view previous blogs, only blogs that have been posted after they've been added to the space. If this is not how Confluence works, is there a work around by setting specific/ granular viewing restrictions for these newly added users?

Thanks!

@Grace Rosenberger welcome to the community!

That is the expected behaviour, when someone is added to a Confluence space by default they will be able to view all contents unless the are restricted. For your specific use case, I would suggest adding Adding page/blog restrictions. This way you can restrict contents to only people who are eligible to view or edit the content.
