Importing Office Excel with header values

I have recently discovered the Office Excel macro, but I need to determine how I can use this in conjunction with the Create JIRA Issue feature.

The Create JIRA Issue feature requires a Table Header (in the table), but the Office Excel macro does not seem to identify the 1st row of the Office Excel as a Table Header.

Is there a way I can identify the 1st row in Excel as the Table Header?
