Atlassian will end support for Confluence Server on February 15, 2024, but Confluence Data Center will still be available.
Does this mean we have to migrate our website away, just looking for some more details here.
No, you can continue to use whatever version of server you are on come that date. Just there will be no more updates or support, for it or for any third-party plugins.
We are facing a similar choice as well. Our plan is to upgrade to the last LTS version of server available by that date, and make sure all our plugins are updated. Then we will decide how to move forward. We may just freeze our configuration at that point and save a ton of money until we are forced to move to Data Center. Considering we are way behind updating now, we could easily buy ourselves 2 years easy.
Now if you are on Cloud, this is an non-issue for you.
@William Mitchell If you are working with a Confluence site under the URL https://somethinghere.atlassian.net that means that your are using Confluence Cloud. If so, then this announcement has zero effect on you.
Cloud is not affected! It is the Confluence Server (self-hosted) product line that reaches end of support.

What is the base URL of your Confluence? It it ends with ".atlassian.net", then you are on Cloud.
And if you are on Cloud, there is no such thing as "version". There is one version, the one you're using.
