We did an evaluation installation of Confluence 5.1.4 in August, 2013, after we upgraded our JIRA application to 5.2.11. Since then we have not actually used Confluence at all. We recently upgraded our JIRA application to 6.2.7 and then migrated it to a different server. We also shut down Confluence on the old server, since we aren't using it. Now we want to install Confluence 5.5.2 on the new server that our JIRA app is currently running on. Is it OK to do an evaluation installation of Confluence 5.5.2 on the new server? We don't have any content in our Confluence 5.1.4 installation to migrate or upgrade, so it seems like starting with a fresh install on the new server would be appropriate.
Hi Stephanie,
Yes, you can actually generate up to 3 evaluation licenses, each one valid for 30 days. Please take a look at https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/purchase-licensing#evaluations-2for further information on this.
