Is it possible to insert external data in Confluence

A .txt or .xlsx file (depending on the best used format for Confluence) that will be updated automatically.

This file has a spreadsheet buildup so it should be possible to show it in a confluence page as table!

Question:

Is there a scripting app/language in confluence that will update this data on opening that specific Confluence page?
