Is it possible to search for pages using the status property

Brian Stephenson November 10, 2022

Our team has started to utilize the add a status feature on all of our new documents. We have several that have been labeled for review, but it doesn't seem possible to search for or easily locate pages that have been identified as such.

Is there an additional search field available somewhere other than the typical advanced search for this? Or is the intention of these tags to be visual only and not functional?

Hi Brian,

Unfortunately, at the moment there isn’t really a way with vanilla Confluence to get an overview of statuses as they are not supported by the page property report and the Confluence search (yet).

There are two feature improvement suggestions that have been raised that you can vote and/or watch:

  1. Add option to show page status in various macros
  2. Include page status in Confluence search

The feature of adding the status to the Confluence currently only serves as visual indicator of the current status of each page.

Here is a workaround that has been suggested on a similar community post incase you’re interested.

Regards,

Hamza
