Is it possible to see all notifications (also older than 15 days)?

Hello Community. 

Recently I got this question several times from our users:

In the notification box you can find your own notifications which are not older than 15 days. Is there any way to get the older notifications, too? Where are they stored and are they deleted after a while? Is there an sql query which could be helpful here?
