I'm aware that confluence docs are automatically saved, and you can resume editing a doc at any time, but is there a plug-in or feature that can be added to manually save the draft without publishing?
Multiple times the page has failed to save draft, and I've been forced to open a new tab and copy over the information that wasn't saved.
It would also make typing doc's less stressfull, as manually saving a draft would be more convienient then having to rely on it to save automatically.
Hi,
I know its quite a late response, but I just recenty found the following JIRA Task https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-1632 describing a workaround that may help:
> workaround: If you hit Preview a draft is saved automatically.

You might want to look into this plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.k15t.scroll.scroll-versions
I saw this demoed at Atlassian Summit and it would pretty much do what you're saying.

Hi,
maybe the content publishing plugin is something for you: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/143
With this plugin you have two spaces, a public space and a draft space.
You work in the draft space and publish the pages to the public space when they are ready.
Best regards
Thomas

oh, I see, you have the onDemand-Version. I don't know, if this plugin is available at the onDemand-Version...

Thanks Thomas, although I'm not sure that's exactly what I'm looking for.
All i really need is a button that allows for a save draft and an option to not publish that draft untill the document is fully ready.
Maybe it hasnt been developed yet?
I'll keep searching...

Also, I do have the onDemand Version, so it wouldn't be avaliable anyway.
Thanks though!
