Is there a way to decrease and limit the output of Change history macro?

Using the change history macro creates a long list of all the changes. I was wondering if there was a way to decrease it. I have tried using the markup language to add {change-history | limit=2} but it does not recognize that as a macro. 

The macro's help page says that this change history macro does not have any options to configure the amount of data it displays.

I believe this issue is resolved and I just need to update the confluence version.
